Part-Time Controller/Accounting Manager

Community Workforce Solutions is seeking a controller/accounting manager to oversee an accounting department requiring approximately 25 hours per week.   

General Description: Under the supervision of the President/Executive Director, this position coordinates and supervises all agency finances, payroll, AP, AR and accounting activities for our three locations. 

Essential Functions:  Supervise all aspects of our accounting department including preparation of financial statements for Board of Directors, guide administration in optimal banking practices, assist principals and staff as necessary in reporting and interpreting financial information, develop pro-forma budgets, offer financial guidance for prospective business units, prepares organization’s budget annually, prepares financial information for various audits, effective and timely communication with staff, customers, and team members, prepares budgets, reports and other information for grants. Directly supervises two staff. 

Education and Experience Requirements:
Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a CPA
Experience with Peachtree Accounting Software

Required: Bachelor of Science in Accounting
Minimum five years of experience as Sr. accountant or auditor in public practice
Solid understanding of accounting and payroll
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to effectively communicate with auditors and board members
Solid understanding of budgets and budget preparation
Experience with financial reporting and financial statement preparation
Supervisory experience

Habilitation Technicians Wanted

Community Workforce Solutions, Inc. is looking for a few positive, energetic, dependable direct care staff who love supporting others.  Need staff to work in our day supports agency serving adults with developmental disabilities.  Must be available to work up to 6 hours per day as assigned primarily between the hours of 8am and 4pm Monday through Friday.  

You would be assisting individuals in building life and social skills at the agency and in the community. You would also be assisting individuals in many other areas such as volunteering and attending tours out in the community while ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with an individualized support plan.

Background check, driving record check, health care registry and drug screen required prior to hire.  Must posses a valid NC driver’s license, have access to a vehicle and have appropriate insurance coverage.  Agency will provide training in CPR, First Aid, NCI and Medication Administration.
